ABOUT US

Wadi Ventures, founded in August 2012 by Jonathan Pacifici and Reuven Ulmansky , is the new and improved accelerator model for early stage disruptive internet and new media startups in Israel.

Wadi Ventures is on the lookout for Israel’s top talent and plans to accept tens of new startups by the end of 2015. Israel’s startup community is bursting at the seams with unique ideas but we’ve seen awesome ideas fall flat when the business side of the company did not receive proper attention.

That’s where Wadi Venture comes in. We are a new European-backed seed and pre seedventure capital fund. Our program provides its companies with an early stage acceleration and investment program with a focus on three fronts so that they are brought to launch as well-structured companies with great business connections. Wadi Ventures’ three pillars are:

Financial investment - We consider this the least important part of our program. Nonetheless we understand the place of financial support during the beginning stages of a startup. We provide our companies with angel-size investment – the capital provided to our companies is generally up to 50K - 150K. We are often able to arrange larger round in syndication with our own LPs and other investors.

MentorshipWe offer the supportive network of a VC. Founders receive mentoring from business experts, lawyers, accountants, IP experts, etc. They are here to assist founders in maturing their companies from all ends and making good business decisions.

Exposure to the European market - We strongly believe startups need to engage as soon as possible with the market, and for Israeli companies this market is abroad. There is huge potential in the European market, we know it well and we know how to communicate with it. We build relationships between our companies and top European corporations and investors, including telcos and banks.

Among other benefits, this gives founders the opportunity to test beta versions of their products with industry leaders before the demo day.
